|  Training young men to govern themselves through the Student Council fosters an important sense of self-reliance, self-respect, and pride. The Student Council has the primary role of liaison between students and faculty. They have earned the authority to regulate student affairs by making recommendations to the school administration and faculty regarding changes in school programs. Elected by the student body, the council is composed of representatives from each class. As a student at MUS, you are automatically a participant of the student government and as such, are expected to take an active part in the life of the school. The Student Council has constitutional charge over morning chapel services, student activities, cleanliness of the halls, school elections, and operating the lost and found department. We encourage students to make suggestions and ask questions of council members. If a student is in violation of the school principles, he may be called before the council for recommendations. The headmaster holds final say on all decisions regarding council recommendations. Lower School Student Council includes an elected president and representatives. The president presides at Tuesday and Thursday assemblies.
