Search the Library Catalog for our collection of books, videos, AV, and e-books. Search for materials at MUS by default, or select ALL to search all four schools in the MAISLIC consortium.
- Type in your search terms and click "words or phrase" for the broadest results. To get fewer and more specific results, click "subject," "title," or "author." Use Power Search to fine tune or limit searches to types of material.
- Use AND to search more than one field at a time, such as the author-title search: Charles Dickens AND Hard Times.
- Click on Item Information to see the call number and location.
- Use truncation to find all possible endings of a word: (philosoph$, ethic$, encyc$, video$)
- You can generate a printable list of items by clicking "Keep" to select items and then by clicking 'Kept" to view, sort, and print or email the list.
- If you find a netLibrary book (with the call number ELECTRONIC BOOKS) that you want to look at, click on the link
or on "Full Details" and then on the URL at the end of the record (under "Electronic Access"). To use the website from off campus, you must first register as a user from a computer on the MUS network. For more information about e-books, see "The E-Books Have Arrived."
Looking for New Material? A list of our most recent books, videos, and other additions is available through our online catalog and updated weekly. Click here to see what's new.
Search Other Available Library Catalogs. MUS has cooperative agreements with several local libraries, and each student can use the public library that serves his own area of residence. Students who wish to use the library at the University of Memphis should ask an MUS librarian for a permission letter. Students and
faculty should contact the Hyde Library to request interlibrary
loans.
