As noted in Academic Dean Flip Eikner’s email today, April 9, several academic updates have been announced:
Progress Reports will be published online as scheduled on Friday, April 17 (no copies will be mailed).
The academic year will conclude as scheduled Thursday, April 30, for seniors, and Friday, May 22, for underclassmen. We do not plan to make up school days in June.
After thoughtful deliberation, we are canceling end-of-semester exams to allow teachers more time through the last day of school to assist students in their academic development. The Semester 2 average will comprise Quarter 3 (50%) and Quarter 4 (50%) averages.
The College Board revised the previously published schedule, postponing the start of AP exams by one week to May 11 through May 22. Information on the new schedule is available here.
In acknowledgment of how hard everyone is working to adapt to online learning, we have added Monday, April 13, as a school holiday. Friday, April 10, is a previously scheduled school holiday in observance of Good Friday and the beginning of Passover. We hope you can relax and enjoy the four-day weekend!
Adhering to Gov. Lee’s recommendation, online learning will continue, and our campus will remain closed at least through Friday, April 24, making our earliest possible date for returning to campus Monday, April 27. However, this is a fluid situation.
