We’re having an MUS theater reunion the weekend of April 15, 2023 – and it promises to be a true blast-from-the-past cast party! Rekindle the friendships made during the heyday of MUSTA’D in the “Elder/Saunders Era” of the 1970’s.
The celebration gets under way Friday evening, April 14, 7 p.m., with the MUS performance of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and dinner at one of Memphis’s best BBQ eateries.
The curtain next rises shortly after you do Saturday, April 15, with the following scenes to be enacted:
- PROLOGUE [morning]: Morning tour of notable Memphis landmarks.
- ACT ONE [afternoon]: Reunion presentation from the stage in Hyde Chapel, full of grand memories galore! Volunteers to present or to perform are welcome!
- ACT TWO [later afternoon]: Tour of campus and theater facilities.
- FINALE [evening]: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner: Eat, drink, and catch up with old castmates, at a nearby restaurant.
- FOR AN ENCORE: Sunday brunch to close the weekend on a final, happy ovation! (Do you prefer your “ova” sunny side up or scrambled?)
Stage props to George B. Elder, Andy and Jean Saunders, George Miller, Jill Jemison Margolin, Everett Thomas, Wendye Clarendon, Michele Somers Cullen, Randy Graves, Jim Overbey, Robert Fudge, Ted Fockler, Flip Eikner, and others for putting together this really big show.
