Selection Sunday

Buzzard Bracket Battle

Welcome to the annual MUS March Madness Buzzard Bracket Battle! Faculty, alumni, and current seniors are invited to join the battle.

This bracket competition is designed to help alumni connect with classmates and faculty, contribute to the Annual Fund, and compete for Buzzard Battle bragging rights. Create your teams and get ready to battle!

This isn't your typical bracket competition, so it doesn't end if your brackets perform poorly - read the Bracket Buster options.

HERE'S HOW TO PLAY:

1. RECRUIT YOUR TEAM: Talk to your MUS buddies and recruit a team (minimum of five members). Remember to send your team name and team captain to BuzzardBattle@musowls.org in time for Selection Sunday on March 17.

2. SET UP YOUR ESPN BRACKET: Each participant should set up an individual profile and a bracket nickname using the ESPN Tournament Challenge website. After setting up your bracket nickname, make sure you join the ESPN Tournament Challenge group, MUS Bracket Battle 2024, so that we can find your bracket score each week. Participants will have until March 17 (First Round of NCAA Tournament) to complete their brackets.

3. REGISTER YOUR BRACKETS WITH BUZZARD BATTLE: Then register your ESPN bracket nickname HERE. Each bracket entry is a $20 contribution to the Annual Fund ($5 for current college alumni and MUS seniors). The points your bracket(s) earns throughout the tournament will go toward your individual and team standings. Participants are allowed to enter two brackets and we will take the score from your best bracket each week.

4. FOLLOW LEADERBOARDS AND WIN PRIZES: Follow the competition by checking our weekly individual and team leaderboards. Enjoy weekly prizes for the top teams and an end-of-year watch party for all participants.

5. GET BRACKET BUSTERS: Your bracket(s) not performing the way you hoped? Forget to register your bracket(s) in time? Hate how well somebody else's bracket is doing? Purchase a Bracket Buster any time during the tournament! This will boost your team’s score during the competition and will keep things very interesting.
