  • Fairley Recap

The JV Owls returned from fall break and teamed up with the 9th grade team to play against the Fairley JV. The Owls triumphed 32 to 0. It was a sluggish start to the game but the JV defense got us on the right track when Sam Galler pounced on a fumble created by Miller Caldwell's hit on the Fairley RB. The 9th grade took advantage of the turnover to produce a score. Following that score a great pooch kick-off by Josh Wittbur was recovered by the William Renovich and the JV offense scored on a 28 yard TD pass from Jacob Wade to Hall Thompson. The PAT was executed by Wittbur. The Owls continued to roll in the 2nd half led by the excellent defensive play of Charlie Gearhart who played his best game as an Owl recording 7 tackles, 2 of which were for loss. The JV offense also produced 2 more TD's, the first a 31 yard TD pass from Maddux Giel to Charlie Hottinger and the final score coming on an explosive 32 yard run by Gavin Gatere.

The JV squad closes out the Monday Night Football season next Monday at CBHS when the squad will look to avenge their only loss of the season.
  • White Station Recap

The JV team improved their record to 4-1 with an impressive 21 to 6 victory over White Station. The defense really came to play last night after a subpar performance against CBHS. White Station's only score came on a kick-off return. Their only other treat to score came on the last play of the 1st half when a fumble by the Owls was scooped up by a Spartan DB and it looked like a sure TD but a valiant effort by Paxton Silver caught him before he got to the EZ. Maddux Giel had an excellent game rushing for 70 yards and scoring 2 TD's

The JV returns to action next Monday with a game against a strong Houston JV squad at Stokes Stadium.
  • CBHS 1 Recap

The JV squad lost their first game of the season last night to CBHS by a score of 20 to 7. The visitors executed very well in the first half completing long passes and making key runs. Our offense was sporadic. After falling behind 20 to 0 at the half the team responded better in the 2nd half holding the Brothers scoreless and managing to put a score on the board.

The team returns to action next Monday when we host White Station.
