Of the three Semifinalists recognized by the 2018-19 National Merit Scholarship Program, two seniors have advanced as National Merit Finalists: Ethan Hurst and Hudson Miller. Assistant Headmaster Barry Ray congratulated the Finalists during chapel assembly Tuesday, February 19.
Hurst and Miller now compete for some 7,500 scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered beginning in the spring. About 1.6 million students in more than 22,000 high schools entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
