After School “ASAP” Program Now Available

ASAP is now available for all students every weekday in the Lower School Dunavant Lecture Hall from 3:40-5:30 p.m. No registration is required.
Parents can pick up students any time during ASAP. The program closes at 5:30 p.m. each day, and the cost is $15 per day, billed monthly according to attendance.

From the U Book, “The MUS faculty expects students to arrive at school well rested and prepared for class each day. Most students do exactly that, but life balance for a student can have its challenges due to factors such as after-school commitments, family obligations, technological distractions, and social life, all of which can get in the way of two very important daily requirements: homework and sleep. The After School Academic Program offers students an opportunity to complete homework requirements in a supervised setting before leaving campus.”

Students should bring their own water bottle, and they may bring food. A water-bottle filler and a snack machine are available for student use. During ASAP students may snack as they study, be released to the library with a signed pass from a teacher, and use the computers for homework purposes. For the first hour of every session on Mondays through Thursdays, math and English help as well as academic coaching are available.

For pick-up, parents are encouraged to wait by the Lower School steps, call (901) 921-4076 and ask the ASAP proctor to send out their son.
