LS Meet 2 Recap

After suffering a rain out on our first meet of the year the lower school team had an excellent inaugural outing. The team had excellent competition from Collierville who had already participated in several meets. Final team score was MUS-180, Collierville-163, Holy Rosary-30, GSL-26, Westminster-24, Lausanne-22, PDS-13. The team was led by 3 1st place finishes in the sprints by Jaxon Hammond. Kaleb Conway also had two 1st place finishes in the 800 and 1600 showing outstanding toughness on a hot day. R'Chaun King had a good day winning the 100 hurdles, finishing 2nd in the HJ and then 4th in the 100. All of these occurred within about 15 minutes of each other. Dylan Robinson lef the way in the throws earning a victory in the shot and 4th place in the discus. Brandon Nicholson was first in the long jump.

The 4x100 relay team was 1st and the B team had the 3rd best time. In the 4x200 relay the A team once again was 1st and the B team finished 2nd. Strong showing by both of these teams which also is a credit to a lot of depth.

All in all a very good first outing for Coach Johanson and the lower school track team.
