Large Honored by The Salvation Army

Mr. Jonathan Large, history teacher and Civic Service Organization advisor, received The Salvation Army Angel of Hope Award on April 27 during a volunteer appreciation dinner. In addition to his many personal philanthropic and service efforts, Large leads an impressive contingency of student volunteers. It was for his youth leadership and his work with the Angel Tree Program that he was honored this year.
“Mr. Large was presented the inaugural Angels of Hope award for his efforts in helping thousands of families and senior adults through the Angel Tree Program,” said The Salvation Army Memphis Executive Development Director Aaron Keegan. “We truly appreciate his dedication to our young people as well as our community as a whole.”

The Angel of Hope award recognizes an individual whose volunteer efforts help thousands of families realize the joy of Christmas through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program.
