Financial Aid
Some see it as aid – we see it as access. Cost should never be a barrier to the MUS experience. One-third of our families take advantage of the school’s confidential financial aid, a program based on demonstrated need that makes the invaluable MUS education accessible to more boys. A trusted third-party platform recommends the tuition amount a family can afford to pay based on household economic factors, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, as well as the number of children attending tuition-charging schools. An MUS committee then makes the final determination of the financial aid amount, and the notification is included in the acceptance package.

Once a student receives financial aid, it is the policy of the school to continue this financial aid until graduation, provided there is continued need. This year, $2.92 million was awarded in various amounts to about 29% of our students.  LEARN MORE, APPLY

FACTS Tuition Management

All parents must register for FACTS by March 1, which allows families to manage their MUS tuition and monthly billing online. LEARN MORE

Tuition Refund Insurance
Parents are reminded that no refund of tuition fees can be made except as provided under the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan. It is understood that students are enrolled for the entire school year or such portion as may remain after the date of entrance. The fact that the school fees are paid in two or more installments does not constitute a fractional contract. Considering the no-refund enrollment terms, it is highly recommended that all parents, in their own interest, participate in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan. LEARN MORE

Student Accident Insurance
MUS offers student accident insurance, through A.W. Dewar, Inc., covering medical expenses up to $1,000 per accident during the year. LEARN MORE

Gap Insurance for Athletes
For a small fee ($62 in 2023-24), we offer National Accident Health General Agency gap insurance coverage for our student-athletes while they participate in any of our 14 interscholastic sports (up to $15,000). If medical bills reach $15,000, catastrophic insurance coverage offered through the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association kicks in. LEARN MORE
