The 7th grade Owls traveled to Harding for Thursday Night Football and played an excellent game. From the opening KO return by Thomas Heffner it was a night of big plays for the youngsters. After Heffner's big return Tommie Reed scampered 25 yards for the first score of the night. Price Renovich hit Palmer Albertine with the 2-PAT. Haynes Kiser quickly forced a Harding fumble that was recovered by Reed. Reed then went for an 11 yard jaunt moving the score to 16 to 0. In the 2nd quarter the Owls were back up deep in their own territory on a 3rd &18 when back to back big plays blew the game open. Renovich first hit Albertine for 44 yards and that was followed by an amazing 44 yard run by Reed that made the score 22 to 0. To the Lions credit they responded with a big play of their own in the next drive but a TD saving tackle by Hudson Jacks and then a big sack by Albertine stuffed the drive. In the 3rd quarter Heffner produced excitement with a nifty 20 yard run making the score 28 to 0. In the 4th quarter the Owls put together another scoring drive. On a key 3rd down Benji Berry hit Caleb Louedenbeck for a 1st down, followed shortly by 28 yard TD run by Hudson Jacks.
Coach Clenin provided the following comments "I was proud of our teams focus last night on the road against Harding.
