CBHS 2 Recap

The Owls saved their best for last earning a hard fought victory over the previously undefeated CBHS squad. Our first half was by far the best we have played all season as we jumped out to a 14 to 0 lead. Those scores were on a run by Sam Galler and a nice pass from Maddox Giels to Carter Sayle. Both extra points were converted by Joshua Wittber who was perfect all year! The Brothers responded as we knew they would in the 3rd quarter and put two TD's on the board but an errant snap on their 2nd PAT left the Owls ahead 14-13. The 4th quarter was intense. Their defense was tough to handle but we made some key special teams plays that allowed us to run some clock. In the end it came down to some really excellent defensive line play by Reid McKnett, Devin Wells, and Noah Spears to crush the Wave and allow the game to end with the Owls in Victory formation!

This team did a good job of making progress all year. They also played a key role in preparing the varsity team for Friday nights. The future is bright for more wins at Stokes Stadium in the years ahead!
