The varsity football team is headed to the state championship Friday, November 30, to face off against Brentwood Academy at 7 p.m. at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online hereor at the game. There will be a $10 (cash only) parking fee. Fans should wear blue to the game.
If you can’t make it to Cookeville, there are many ways to follow the action: Join a flock of Owl fans at Swanky's Taco Shop and enjoy the game on their TV; tune in to ESPN (AM 790) to hear Mr. Jeffrey Wright ’07 and Mr. Barry Ray call the action and provide commentary; follow real-time updates on our sports Twitter account, @OwlBuzz; live-stream the game (for a fee) from the NFHS Network here;OR watch the game live on CW30 WLMT TV. Classes will end at 11:30 a.m. so fans can head to the game. Lunch will not be served, but the school will serve an extended breakfast.
We have two student buses available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested will need to return this permission slip with $30 no later than Wednesday, November 28. The buses will leave at 12:15 p.m. and return the same night at around 1:30 a.m. Riders will need to bring money for meals.
If you want to be a part of the send-off group, be in the stadium parking lot by 10:30 a.m. Friday. Also, Owl fans are gathering at Cookeville's Seven Senses before the game. Check out the restaurant information here. Go, Owls!
