Huang Awarded Morehead-Cain

Congratulations to Jonathan Huang upon his acceptance to the Morehead-Cain Class of 2024 at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

The Morehead-Cain Scholarship covers all expenses for four years of undergraduate study plus summer enrichment experiences, including travel abroad, in which students are encouraged to explore their interests. He joins a select group of scholars chosen for their leadership, character, academic achievement, and physical fitness.

Jonathan is a National Merit Commended Scholar, and at MUS he has served as a Student Ambassador, Peer Tutor, and percussionist in the orchestra (earning placement in the 2020 All-State Concert Band). He is a member of the Cum Laude Society, National Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, History Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. He has competed on the Owl tennis team and serves as captain of the fencing team. A skilled fencer, he earned the Tennessee individual saber title in 2019.
