USA Biolympiad Honors Wu and Yu

Eight Memphis University School students took the open USA Biolympiad, and two received honors from USABO. Sophomore Evan Wu earned an honorable mention – just one point short of the semifinal cutoff – and junior Henry Yu earned recognition for scoring in the top 30% among 3,800 students who took the 50-minute online exam.
Instructor in Science Laura Landry is looking forward to the students improving for next year’s exam. She praised them for their dedication as they took the test during an ice storm that closed school and left hundreds of thousands of Memphians without power.

The mission of the USABO is to identify, inspire, empower, and support the next generation of life science leaders and to develop their international network.
