"Owl’s Hoot" Wins First Place

The Owl’s Hoot was awarded first place in the Private/Parochial Schools, 500 and Under category, in the American Scholastic Press Association national competition. Editor-in-chief Wills Frazer ’25 is pictured with the newspaper’s longtime advisor, English Instructor Norman Thompson.
“Wills and his staff chronicled the 2024 life of Memphis University School in lively, colorful language while observing the highest journalistic standards,” Thompson said. “The judges indicated that The Owl’s Hoot ticked all the boxes designating an excellent high school paper.”
