CBHS RECAP

The frosh Owls lost a hard fought battle to CBHS on Monday 0 to 7. The team at time was it's own worse enemy with unfortunate penalties that thwarted drives. But there were some highlights as well.

On defense Braden Chubb caused a fumble recovered by by Alexander Nail. Malcom Shaw made a great interception the stop a CBHS drive. And Griffin Marshall hit the QB during a pass attempt forcing a bad throw that was intercepted by Jack Fortas. Will McDaniel and Carter Campbell had some nice tackles from their safety positions.

Our penalties kept us from getting any rhythm going on offense. A few big plays were called back and we just never looked in sync. Malcolm Shaw provided some spark at times as did a few tough runs by Carter Campbell. But the lack of any big plays and our inconsistency in execution kept us out of the endzone.

Fortunately the negatives from the game are things we can correct. But football requires that all 11 players on the field execute in harmony and we did not do that last night. We look forward to seeing a better outcome next Monday as the team travels to Houston.
