Patel Named Presidential Semifinalist

The United States Presidential Scholars Program has named senior Kushal Patel a semifinalist.
From about 3.6 million students anticipated to graduate this year, 6,000 were selected as candidates. About 621 of these have advanced to the semifinalist stage. Annually up to 161 students are chosen as U.S. Presidential Scholars.
 
Candidates are selected based on demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, and artistic and technical pursuits. Those who advance from semifinalists to Presidential Scholars are awarded the U.S. Presidential Scholars medallion each June.
