DECA District Honors, Orlando Trip

Twenty-five DECA members qualified for the state competition after finishing in the top 40 in the district competition. The state competition will be held March 9-11 in Chattanooga.
Placing in the top 10 were Alyaan Salman ’23 (2nd), Nolan Yaren ’23 (5th), the team of Bryan Ding ’24 and Will Gramm ’24 (6th), Wills Frazer ’25 (7th), Palmer Halliday ’25 (7th), and Jeffrey Liu ’23 (9th). Following is the full list of participants and placements.

In other DECA news, the club took trip to Orlando for the DECA Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference. They heard talks from Orlando Magic Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations Chris D’Orso, Greater Orlando Sports Commission, Senior Director of Business Development and Events Shalisa Griffin, Universal Orlando Resort, Manager of Social Strategy and Content Stephen Kubiak, and many more. They also visited the Disney World and Universal theme parks.
