MUS Fencing Performs Well In Preseason Tournament

Our first tournament of the year has gone by and was a great success! So many of our fencers did so well and the many medals earned reflected the hard work they have put into their practice.
 
The medalists of the Epee event each earned their place against C-rated fencers, with Soren Johnson receiving his E rating for Epee. Rex Levy fenced exceptionally well and fought his way to an E rating in the foil event against several higher-rated fencers. 
Kushal Patel and Ari Thiyagarajaa finished the foil event with a thrilling 14-14 bout, with Kushal ultimately receiving the last touch and earning the D rating.  Even some of our new saberists, Tyler Dang and Henry Phan, managed to take home bronze medals in the saber event.
