Author Luma Mufleh: April 26

Author Luma Mufleh will speak to faculty and students in chapel Friday, April 26. She was the subject of “Outcasts United” (the 2023 Owls Read book selection), and she authored “Learning America: One Woman’s Fight for Educational Justice for Refugee Children” and “From Here.”
Mufleh will discuss the work she has done since coaching soccer in Atlanta - including starting a school, Fugees Family, and writing two books.
 
MUS is partnering with Novel bookstore to pre-order Mufleh’s books so students can have them signed during her visit. If you can choose only one, Hyde Library Director Wendy Trenthem recommends "Learning America," which is about founding a school. Order HERE by Thursday, April 18.
